I get this question constantly: “Where is your outfit from?”
This post is the beginning of that answer — not just through brand names, but through the logic behind them: fabric, ethics, and how the piece makes my body feel.
1. Fabric First, Always
Before I look at aesthetics, I ask:
- Is this mostly cotton, linen, silk, or wool?
- Does it feel breathable and kind on the skin?
If the answer is no, I usually pass — even if it’s trending.
2. Small, Ethical, or Slowly Made When Possible
I gravitate toward brands that:
- Use natural or recycled fibers.
- Are transparent about production.
- Design pieces you can wear across seasons, not just one micro-trend.
It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being more intentional than last year.
3. How I’ll Share Links with You
Going forward, I’ll start grouping my outfits under themes:
- Soft Office: the blazers, trousers, and tops I actually work in.
- Home Ritual: robes, knits, and sets that feel like a hug.
- Evening Venus: dresses and details for dates, dinners, and altars.
You’ll see these curated on ShopMy and linked here so you can shop the full look or just steal one element.
“Where is your outfit from?” is really “How did you decide to wear this today?” — and my real answer will always be: it started with how I wanted my body and energy to feel.
